For some time now, we have organized the Sports day with the Feast of Mary Help of Christians. This year we were lucky to have with us Fr John Horan, our Provincial, who concelebrated the mass.
That’s how the day started. Mass over, the yard became somewhat more colourful, as each boy put on his colours – yellow, red, green or blue – according to his house. As is our tradition, the day started with the Sprints – the 60m for the Juniours and the 100m for the Seniors. The rest of the events followed. It was a joy to see our boys striving in healthy competition to retain their records or set new ones. All did their best, notwithstanding the heat.
The day came to an end with the presentation of trophies and medals by a distinguished guest, Mr. Gilbert Agius, captain of the Maltese National Football Team, who accepted our invitation and joined us on this special day.
