The Appreciation for the Students’ Achievements Awards Night was held at the Theatre of St. Patrick’s Salesian School, in Sliema, on the 17th and 19th of May 2023. The Head of School, Fr. Eric Cachia sdb, gave a warm welcome to all present and gave a brief introduction. A short Movie Production, produced by the Media section of the School, It-Tifel li waqa’ ġo Ktieb based on Trevor Zahra’s free adaptation of Alan Aychbourn’s The Boy who fell into a book, was screened on the Video Wall, followed by the Annual Address of the Head of School. After his speech, Fr. Cachia invited Mr. Dominic Darmanin, as the guest of honour, to hand out the awards. This is Mr. Darmanin’s last year as an educator at St. Patrick’s Salesian School. Among the tens of students that were awarded certificates, books and trophies for their achievements for scholastic year ending year 2022, there were special tokens awarded to staff members who have given more than 20 years of service to St. Patrick’s.
