Awards Giving Ceremony
St. Patrick’s Salesian School held its annual Awards Giving Ceremony, celebrating the achievements, talents, and dedication of its students, for scholastic year 2024/25. Besides recognising academic success and hard work, several special awards were presented to students who stood out for values such as kindness, positive attitude, initiative, leadership, and commitment within the school community.
The evening opened with a heartfelt welcome by Fifth Former Christian Cachia, who greeted Fr. Rector, Fr. Headmaster, members of staff, students, and parents. Reflecting on his years at the school, Christian shared a number of important milestones from his personal journey as a student at St. Patrick’s.
A highlight of the evening was the screening of Il-Ħolma, a short film produced by St. Patrick’s Media. The story followed a student who experiences a dream similar to that of a young Saint John Bosco. In the dream, Don Bosco encourages him to continue doing good and to keep strong faith in Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. The story later portrays the student as a grandfather sharing with his nephews his lifelong love for Don Bosco and his work with the Salesians.
Fr. Jeremy Vella then addressed those present, emphasising the importance of recognising the achievements of learners and celebrating the many talents found within the school community. The awards were presented by Fr. Gerald Mangion, who concluded the evening with a short message highlighting the importance of supporting one another in bringing out the very best in every boy.
