The
Committee of the Past Pupils and Friends of St.Patrick’s, with the permission
of the Rector Fr. Charles Said, organized a ‘Car Wash’ as the first fund
raising activity for this year. It was held on Sunday 28
th February
in St.Patrick’s grounds.
A large number of flyers were
distributed round the area the day before. The excellent weather condition
together with the good advertising resulted in a large number of people turning
up with their dirty cars to be washed. All the Committee members together with
some young past pupils did an excellent job and the results were very
encouraging.
After such an exhausting
morning all Committee Members and the young Past Pupils set down together in
the Refectory and enjoyed a plate of Pasta.
